Home again

We are home! In these few paragraphs I will summarise what we did. We arrived on Thursday late at night in New York. I was so tired I almost passed out. Instead of goIng for our nice steak which we had planned to have... we just had something from Starbucks! I went to bed.

   On Friday morning we woke up and went downstairs. We had a lovely breakfast. We then hit the shops if you see the previous blog you can see what I brought. I forgot  that before we hit the shops we went ice skating in Bryant Park. It was really nice. Me and mum weren't very good. After shopping we went. After seeing Anna we went back to the hotel to get our bags. We left the hotel and went to Grand Cebyral to get the train to New Cannan. We met Tara at the Train station and soon after we got to our house we went to bed.

 On Saturday was a very lazy day. In the morning I went for a swim in Tara's house. There isn't much to right about so let's skip to Sunday 

   On Sunday it was very cold. So cold that the ice was rain. Jessie (the daughter of Tara) friends came round. We went swimming and also watched telly. Later in the day we went for a walk around New Cannan. We went to see ' Into The Woods' ... It was rubbish. The fast part was OK but after that it just went on and on. After the movie we went for dinner it was so nice!!! 

  Monday was our last day so we went back to New York. We met up with Taylor ( one of Tara's friends) and left our bags at her flat. We went to a bakery where I got some delicious Madelines. We then did lots of shopping . After we had been shopping we went to the nicest pizza place I have ever been to. After the pizza Tara left us we we went back to Taylor's house to hang out. 

  We then got on the plane I went straight to sleep . New York will live in my memory for ever...

The end

Today is the end of our holiday. We went shopping today. I got the cutest dress from American Apparell. We had the nicest pizza. Yesterday we went to New Canaan to see 'Into The Woods'... It was rubbish. It was way to long! Today we are leaving.

A full day in New Caanan

Day 2 - Saturday What a beautiful house.  It has been so good to see Tara Jessie and grandma Donna. And of course there wonderful dog Winston. The day started early again. T then had a swim in the gorgeous pool overlooking the Connecticut countryside. Tara then took me to a bootcamp class - all very American. Lots of "whoops" and "work harder" shouts and cheers. Not British ! But a great class and a reminder of a, how fit Tara is and b, how much I miss her when I am not with her. T and I then walked Winston with Tara after cofee. It is somewhat strange and abit sad to see all the dogs being walked only on leads rounds park on a path rather than running free but the dogs seem happy and of course Winston has a fantastic garden. 

The it was time for lunch out with Tara and two if her friends. I ask " what shall I wear?"  Being the brilliant friend that she is she replied "anything will do - casual is fine". So off we go to the most fantastic restaurant for lunch beautiful views, beautiful people, gorgeous food. And it turns out Tara's friends are two of the most stylish young women I have ever met and frequently in the New York style pages. It was a lovely lunch. 

At home the attention turned to the two dogs playing and looking at clothes websites and discussions of the latest designers. T and I felt a little out of our depth but it was great fun. At one point I thought a dress looked rather nice and quite tempting, then I realised I had missed a digit and it was well out of of my price range. 

Supper all together in a fantastic "South of the boarder " style restaurant. Then bed. A wonderful relaxing second day. 

Oh, and winston can now do a "down" and a jump on command.  

It's meant to be raining all day tomorrow so we are shopping in New Cannan and Grenwich and then NYC Monday. 

Early starts

Hi, it's T. Early start this morning, but luckily not tired at all. We arrived at Tara's house yesterday evening and had a delicious meal. Jessie is really nice and so is her friend Kat. There house is beautiful. Also our bed is reallycomfy 

Friday. What a busy day

So... I have permission to write this from t. What a day. I can't do it justice. It started really well with a facetime with daddy and n. To know they are having fun and are happy means that I can really enjoy myself as I worry when we are all not together. So after two breakfasts due to an early start we went for a wander to Bryant park and we had a skate at sunrise. Then round one of shopping. H and m then saks and then Michael kors. T delighted with all her purchases. Then we met an old Enron buddy - the gorgeous Anna and her two girls. I hadn't seen her since t was 6 months. It was fantastic to see her. We went to Central Park together.  After that we did "Top of the Rock" which we a gift from Andy and Kate. Wow. It was amazing. Then train to New Caanan to see Tara and Jessie. We are having the best time ever. This is what memories are made off. Right off to bed.

Another day .... Another dollar

The holiday has really begun. The hotel is perfect. We will be sad to leave later. Thy made such a fuss of us when we arrived - cakes waiting for t. She was abit out of it but now we love it. We are watching freaky Friday before breakfast. We've enjoyed coffee and pastries pre breakfast and can't wait to start the day. 

We are here

We are in NYC and the flight was very long. I woke up at 5:30 because of jet lag. I am looking forward to a day of shopping.

Well we are here.

 Well we've made it. Pretty awful flight mad worst by daddy letting it slip that I don't like flying.  T therefore worried the whole flight. T was made a fuss of though due to the crew being tipped off about her birthday. Two hours before landing t got poorly. Faint / sweaty feeling awful. Then an hour queue to get off the plane only to be greeted by a three hour immigration queue. I'm glad to say the Simone in charge noticed how I'll she looked (she was on the flor with her head between her legs) and we were fasttracked. Then another hour to wait for taxi and then we made it. The plan was to go out for steak and I could have a glass of wine. Sadly we had a bagel from Starbucks and t is fast asleep. Hopefully she will feel fully refreshed in the morning. 

And no we weren't in upperclass - coach for us but they invited us up front to have our photo taken (all rather embarrassing )

Problems

Oh no had a disaster but luckily everything's ok now. Well we had forgotten that we needed a visa so mum tried to get one but it was saying it might take 3 days to come so we were all panicking but when we got back luckily it was all confirmed so we are definitely going to NYC 😋

One more day

Hi it's T, one more day to go!!!For breakfast I had pancakes I'm so excited about going to NYC. We also might be going to the museum of maths which my friend said was amazing,but most of all I'm looking forward to going shopping with my mum

Hello this is T. I'm so excited about going to NYC I'm literally just counting down the minutes I'm so excited. I'm looking forward to seeing our friends and spending quality time with my mum shopping! Also,I'm a little bit nervous  because it's a new place that I have never been to.  I'm also looking forward to going up the Rockerfeller. It is meant to be so cold in NYC so must wrap up warm!T
